Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on Christian principles, and it is those principles for which we still firmly stand: Faith, Hope, Love; but the greatest of these is Love.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. I Corinthians 13:4 – 8

During the year of the Sorority’s centennial, in 2013, the Broward County Alumnae Chapter organized a circle of chaplains to support and undergird the Chaplain. The circle is composed of three members, the Chapter’s Chaplain and two support chaplains. The vision of the circle is rooted in the power and support of the three-strand cord. Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand it. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12
